Karol’s Empanadas was born from family, faith, and a deep love for gathering around the table.
Growing up, food was never just food, it was connection. It was my mom baking alfajores filled with dulce de leche imported from Argentina. It was recipes passed down, flavors rooted in culture, and laughter filling the kitchen.
Every summer, we would travel to Argentina to visit family. Some of my favorite memories are in my grandmother’s bakery, helping behind the counter, selling fresh pastries and sneaking bites of warm facturas straight from the tray. Facturas are traditional Argentine pastries, soft, golden, and filled with dulce de leche or custard. I loved watching customers come in, hearing their stories, and seeing how something as simple as fresh baked bread could bring people joy.
Those summers shaped me more than I realized.
Years later, what started as cooking for friends and church events slowly turned into something bigger. People would take a bite and say, “You need to sell these.” So we did.
Karol’s Empanadas officially began with one simple goal, to serve high quality, handcrafted empanadas that taste homemade because they are. Every filling is made from scratch. Every batch is prepared with care in a certified commercial kitchen. Every flavor carries a little piece of our story.
Our menu reflects both tradition and creativity. From classic beef empanadas to chicken pesto and ham and cheese, we love honoring our roots while adding a SoCal twist. And of course, we could never leave out our alfajores, soft, delicate cookies filled with rich dulce de leche and finished with coconut on the edges, just like my mom made them.
